Learn to code using designer friendly visual scripting platform and generate multiple iterations in less anticipated time Brief The workshop will introduce students to the concept of Generative /Computational /Parametric /Algorithm Design principles and their applications in an array of design disciplines. Focus of the workshop will be to understand the paradigm shift observed in the past decades of using Computer Aided Design and Visualizations. The participants will be introduced to the frameworks of visual programming in creating scripts to generate multiple/Iterative Design outcomes. Furthermore, the participants will be resolving a creative project using advanced digital and design tools & techniques and integrating the key concepts into prototypes and digital presentations. Learning Outcomes Understanding of Generative & Computational Design principles. Conduct case studies and articulate the role of Generative Design techniques in the Art and Design sectors. Understanding of Automation in Design using advanced digital tools. Create complex abstract visualizations, sketches, and models to generate progressive design options. Ability to apply the understanding of the computational tools in varied Design disciplines. Understanding the framework of visual programming in creating scripts to generate a system to produce multiple/Iterative Design outcomes. Understanding of Rhinoceros and Grasshopper (Algorithm design tool).
